Josephine Sharon Ellington, 76, a lifetime resident of Granville County passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at her home.
A native of Granville County, she was the daughter of the late Maynard and Lucille Sharon. Josephine was a member of Delrayno Baptist Church and retired from Walmart.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 29, 2017 in the Eakes Funeral Home Chapel in Oxford by Rev. John Yount. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Park.
Surviving are a daughter, Sherry Ellington Goss (DeLane) of Stem; two sons, Glenn Ellington (Faye) of Youngsville, Joey Ellington (Cindy) of Oxford; four sisters, Carolyn Cooke of Stovall, Mildred Cox of Mebane, Minnie Adcock of Oxford, Louise Greenway of Oxford; a brother, Walter (Tommy) Sharon of Oxford and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lex Radford Ellington and a brother, James Sharon.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 29, 2016 from 12:30 – 1:45 P.M. prior to the service at Eakes Funeral Home in Oxford and at other times at the home.
